well, technically, I'm not watching the Olympics. It's just that's all the news websites report on now.
Before it started all of the UK news reports were doom and gloom. This is or that is not going to work. The News Media were falling over themselves to find ways to put it down.
Now it is a different story. I hear that it has changed, albeit possibly temporarily, the attitude of people in general so much so that on the streets and public transport you accidently bump into someone and you get a smile back, whereas before you would have expected a scowl or a shove in the back.
10 am in the morning there are 60,000 plus in the Olympic stadium and they are cheering on even the minor heats. They are still the same crowds there when it ends at 10pm at night.
I am missing all this in person but I can see and hear the difference it has made to the country as a whole.
