Saw this on the news. It`s amazing that even in such a remote place there are so many people!

The Province where the earthquake took place is a large as France and has a population of only 5 million.

Most of the population here are in fact Tibetans

Gotta give it up for the Chinese as far as earthquake relief, no red tape, no asking questions, they just get right in with the
right people and get-r-done.  Fastest response for anything I have seen yet.  While the American response takes days and
people are suffering while the government decides what to do, the Chinese are already there on the job.  I take my hat off
to those people......now if they could just work on that immigration thing....:icon_cheesygrin:

the immigration issues Rocky really come from the country
that they might be going to. there is usually no problem
coming from the chinese when they want to immigrate

that figures why they are so slowww.  On damage control here in the US, it practically takes an act of congress
to get the ball rolling.  Typical government red tape.  So we can understand why immigration is so slow.  To bad
they are not efficent like the Chinese, then we'd all be married and the lady's would be living here in the US or Canada
with their husbands and all it would take is a few red envelopes...

That a bit synical Rocky -  surely you mean very fat red envelopes!!!

Willy

People are asking me why the Chinese have not let any foreign rescue units in.

Problem is that it occurred so high up they are are having to treat the Chinese rescuers who are suffering from the lack of oxygen in the atmosphere so maybe the foreigners  getting ill will hamper rather than assist. It is over 12,000 feet above sea level.

I would hardly call that wealthy? If I was using them to light my smokes? Then maybe you would have a case.
