Glad you're OK buddy.  I was fearing the worst.  I hate when bad things happen to good people.

Glad you are ok Rob. Are they going to do any tests on you to see why the angina caused you to faint? But maybe I am prying a little too much. I am just curious about this.

Rob, I am glad you didn't take a bucket of pills.  I hope you can get the angina thing figured out.  You don't need that chasing you from now on.  Sorry to hear about the letter too.  Hope to hear back from you soon.    --Shaun

I was going to write this as a PM, but since Rob has gone and removed his account yet again, I'll just go ahead a post it.

Rob, you need to get over the fatalistic attitude.  Drop the end of the world crap.  It reminds me a lot of those women who watch soaps (and my ex wife).  Stop worrying what everyone else thinks, and start being a stand-up guy.  If you say you're going to do something, do it.  If it turns to shit, deal with it.  If you're done with China, then be done with it - there's no need to tell everyone here about it.  There's no reason to go deleting accounts and ending friendships.  Take a break, take a vacation.  When things are settled down, maybe you'll decide to give it another go.

This forum doesn't have any prerequisites that say you have to be in a relationship, or be pursuing one in order to be here.  You've been to China twice and have valuable information and ideas to share with others.  People are genuinely interested in your opinions.   Some of us even care about you.

Neil

Thank you for that...I have taken it on board

Your right, this is the kick up the backside I needed...

I am back, and will give my opinion and useful advice to others when needed.

but, just as a passing salvo:-

(1)... I have only once deleted my account, and that was last night.
(2)... I have not ended friendships with anyone, (it has been the other way around)
(3)... Isn't that the reason for a thread, to spout the good things and bad things that happen in the relationship.

So as I said I will contribute to other threads...As for any relationship I may be in or not, I will not post on it...

Hi Rob,

I agree with Neil, you have to keep going at this. Ignore the other guys here, us guys who are looking for Asian ladies should stick together. I'm currently in Japan gaining some incredible insights into Asian women, but it's sad that nobody here seems interested. Oh well, while men are getting ripped off and scammed in China, I have an entire country of beautiful ladies pretty much to myself  :-*.

I could have given up after the Miss Wu saga, but I've met two more fantastic women on this trip (with another 2 meetings lined up for next week). Funnily enough one of the ladies I'm meeting dreams of going to Scotland  ;D. I'll put in a good word for you.

Hi Brett

Perhaps you are aware that our Forum is "China Love. info" !!!

Almost all of the guys here (myself included) have/had a specific reason for looking for our future partners in China.

And not all Chinese women are scammers and rip-off merchants. Of course, many of the Agencies are.

That you have decided to shift your attention to Japanese ladies is your business and I wish you well....but be careful not to get scammed by REAL professionals who are already very much "Westernised" and know all the tricks. Could be you are getting carefully sucked in..........Japanese Ladies are very clever and cunning...the awesome mixture of Asian looks, subtlety and "charm"...coupled with a large dose of Western greed and commercialism. !!! All that glisters, is not gold.

Neil, everyone,

If I had to make a guess at what is happening with Rob is that he is getting intense pressure from his children.  Combine that with the issues he has been having with his heart and some of the other minor issues then you see what he might be going through a little.

We all wish he would stay and be a part of this community but at the same time we all know he has to do what is best for him.  I am sure that some have his phone number and/or email address and will try to see if there is anything they can do to help alleviate the pressure and hard feelings.  I wish I had the info.

I think the best we can do is wish him well and tell him to come back soon and welcome him back if he chooses.

Shaun
