Ted and Lain just keep putting up the Pictures.
I don't care about the economy stuff.
But in this western guys eyes she is gorgeous.
Anorexic no but she is just skinny.
Very young in 10 or 15 years when she gains that 10 or 15 pounds.
She will just be even better yet.
I have been in lake County the past 8 or 9 years. Most of the women there are fugly.

I think the picture Lain posted makes her look a little better.I don't think she is that pretty. If you look close enough. She has Vulcan ears. That is a real turn off for me.

On this thread we do need to stick to one topic. So if you guys want.I can split the topics..I think both of them are kind of interesting. So let me or one of the other mods know what you want to do.I will let the economics thread continue. As long as thiere is no country bashing. You can state your opinion.Just don't be rude or hateful. And post something bad about somebody else's country.

Lain wrote ... Now here is what I call a REAL Chinese beauty. Chinese actress Angel Xu

HAHAHAHAHA .... you cracked me up. What's the major difference between these two ??? ... Just their chest size.

They're "A" and "1A". They're both beautiful.

Both of them have the "SAME" size arms, legs, belly and slim jaw tight cheeks.

I was wondering what I was missing.  All I see is an unhealthily skinny Chinese lady.

I agree, too thin, and pale looking ....
 :-\

But she will be the raw model of a lot of young Chinese women.. To bad...
Better to be married to a wife from Changsha then have 7000 women in Chnlove

The real problem, in the psyche of these doomsayers is that they are completely incapable of facing the reality that the USA may not be the most important and dominant force on the planet for ever. and that gives them pain !! So they are desperate to rationalize why China must falter in its charge to be the economic (and thus the power base) superpower over the next 10 years or so.
Just ask the Romans, The Goths, The Brits and all the other global superpowers of their day....nothing lasts forever.

David
Man it's a drag to be right sometimes, But you certainly are. The greed and arrogance of the American people will be their downfall. And unfortunately I think it will be more sooner than later.  And some of the biggest babies of the bunch  have control of some of the most powerful forces on the planet. And I have a feeling a lot of good and innocent people will be hurt when they have that temper tantrum.
And like I try and tell my kids, all of the wishful thinking in the world will not change things.

I am not sure that we should be talking about "Freakonomics" in the Miss Universe thread....but WTF... ;D ;D
At work, we have been doing serious economic modelling for some high power Government Agencies, where we want to take a detailed look at some future scenarios vis-a-vis the shifting economic dynamics in the World as China continues to grow at a very fast pace. As your article rightly points out, Australia has shifted it old alliance with England and , to an extent , the West and re-aligned its Busines and Social model on Asia, We have massive resources and very little second and third tier manufacturing, in essence we are a giant quarry...shifting dirt all over the World...especially China these days.
In that is a strength and also a weakness. Recent history proved that it is a robust model for our times..but this may not hold good for the long term.
Central to our economic modelling is the relativity of demand from the awakening economies...China, India, Indonesia - wherein some 70%+ of the World population is located...thus even though "per-capita" these folks have a lot less than developed countries...there is a heck of a lot of them !!!!...and they slowly will increase their individual demands towards the "life of material pefection" so well advocated by developed countries, led by USA.
If, over the next few decades, even a small percentage of these people have small increments in income, lifestyle, possessions, the scale of it all has huge implications for the changing patterns of demand for Australian resources...could be all good news, or could be a disaster.
Hence we must seriously look at the consequences of China (or somebody??) soon becoming the "largest" economy.
Our research suggests that China WILL achieve this, and we also dont think that USA has seen the last of the bad news about its own economy...not by a long way, sadly.
It is not for me or my team to coment on what USA should do...we are only small fish in THAT pond...but for the research we are doing inside our own sphere of influence, what we are finding is very important for our future here, stuck at the end of the planet...a Western Country (by background and tradition) being inescapably grafted into Asia .

I dont know about smug or greedy. The people who seems to crawl in office definately are being looked at more and more because they arent going with what is best for the majority. As far as an american goes I know we put our noses in everyones business, henever a country has problems we keep sending aid till it hurts even pakistan is getting aid from us and they are helping the terrorists. We went through the industry phase and to this day we are still cleaning rivers from pollution that steel mills poured in the water.Oklahoma was a barren desert from all the oil rigs.Strip mining now has to put the land back the way they found it.You would think china as the number 2 country would build water treatment plants for the people.Seems like all countries sell their souls to be on top.I am just looking at this as a what were they thinking kind of attitude nothing personal with any country.

... and to all young ladies around the world ...

The tv show at it's worst. In Colombia, contestants go to great lengths such as plastic surgery and breast enlargements to win their local qualifying rounds. I much rather have a skinny lady than a botox plastic lady as a role model. As another wrote, she'll gain a few pounds in a few years but you can't ever lose the plastic.
