While talking with David S on skype, we noticed that the latest version does not include the 'search' option.

In the old version, you could do a full search for people, now you have to have their id or names... :o

In the old version, I got a lot of friends through the search method.

I just checked and the search option is still on the Linux version.

Skype has problems just before Christmas for a day and for a couple of hours after christmas.   It affected millions of users.

I have a a paid for subscription with them and I received an extra 7 days free and  30 minutes of free calls to anywhere in the World.

A complete working professional VPN solution (which is easy enough for a no brainer) thats working for China costs about 60$ a year, then you will have no restrictions accessing any websites and all P2P, VOIP, Bittorrent programs etc will be completely unblocked. If you are concerned Skype would cease to work in China, 60$ a year solves that problem and a bunch of others.

As a funny sidenote, the inventor of Skype a famous Swedish guy is a close friend to one of my oldest clients who sponsored him with an apartment in London when he was developing Skype and didnt have a dime on hes pocket. Now its another story.
