Matt I am a widower.  It is not wrong at all for you to say she deserves a little good fortune in her life.  I feel I deserve some good fortune in my life and that I found it in the lady I have met.  She does deserve it and hopefully you can bring some of that to her.  The only caution I would give you is to make sure she is well through the grieving process.  The time frame is different for everyone.  For me, if I had tried to even date anyone in the 1st two years, well it would have been a disaster I'm sure.  I was definately not ready.  Fortunately at the right time, I got to know this lady.

robert, were you ever stationed at the polaris base in charlston sc?  i was a Marine at the naval weapon station there back about the mid 80s.
