When I posted my comment I had 3 goals in mind. 1. To be simplistic in my approach to the subject. 2. To be informative. 3. To not be offensive. David after reading your post I think I failed in two areas.
In my efforts to be simplistic I made some great leaps that may need a little explanation. I could type volumes of information about this but I don't think anyone would be interested in what was being typed.
When I said counterfeit religion I am saying that there are many who think that the Sun and Moon or zodiac is a religion. It isn't a religion. There are many different religions that have the zodiac or the Sun and Moon as a part of their religious beliefs. You'll even find some Christians who believe in it.
I acknowledge that there is validity to some of the ideas behind what it represents but I do not think it is system by which one should completely govern their life as so many do.
The debate on monotheism I will not debate with you simply because both of us have spent years studying building our belief systems and I don't think at either of our age we could convince each the other to change. I think it would be best to day that we disagree with each other on this subject and choose to be friends anyway.
The other point is that I think I offended you and for that I am sorry.
The other issue and post I won't comment on because it wasn't my issue.
Still friends?
