Willy, let me see.. I have a Book of matches in my hand for tomorrow. Being 4th of July and your Birthday, makes me somewhat  ???un-easy . Why? Well, I now don't know if I should use them for my "Fireworks" or your "Candles"? Can't do both, as I don't have enough! So anyway, I do have til' tomorrow to decide....

My mother celebrated Independence day as well. (Of me of course).
 
She once said of of me that I spent nine months to get out of a woman and the rest of my life trying to get back into others as often as possible.

I suppose I inherited my wisdom from her.

Well that day has passed once more. The fifth birthday celebrated in China. Today was more successful in warding off those red envelopes for family members who I know cannot afford to be giving out money willy nilly. 
It was day I joined in the ritual of a red envelope being passed over and going back and forth until one party relents.   Probably today sometime I will find the various places where the envelopes had been secreted about our apartment.
I know at my wife's birthday we found one from her elder sister tucked away in the 'freezer'!

But me paying for the dinner for so many on MY birthday is something I will probably not get used to.
