Mike,

I think you maybe mistaken in your assessment of the amount of women that can use computers in the over 35 age group. If you visit the internet cafe's the next time you visit China, you will see many middle aged ladies useing computers. They learn to use them, to keep in touch with their children that are studying at Universities in other cities, or other family members that are in different provinces etc, etc!!

The fact remains, that in a relationship that they want to be in, does require them to have just that little more determination and willingness to do whatever is neccessary to overcome the terrible drawbacks of trying to progress that relationship over the internet. If that means learning about how to use a computer, (and it only requires a short beginners course)
Then quite frankly i don't think that's too much to ask. The end result, is what they are here for, ...to find a husband that is suitable for them!!!!

I'm with Mike on this issue.

My target age group is 40 +, and I have a devil of a job getting any of them to get on to QQ or similar.

It may be cultural, it may be Agency pressure to continue EMF's...or it maybe phases of the Moon...!!!!!! I just dont know why it is such a hassle.

If it was an isolated or rare occurrence, i would say..."ho hum" and move on. But it is epidemic amongst this age group...and yet, they are the ones who are most probably dead in the water as regards a future marriage in China and should be very receptive of a Western man......and try a bit harder to assist the relationship to develop...............especially with someone as admirable as me :icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Mike/David....

As i say, i can only relay here what I've seen/witnessed with my own eyes, in not one internet cafe, but several over quite a few cities and provinces. I have also seen the younger generation in these internet cafe's, always willing to help the middle aged women if they hit a problem.

Now most of the bigger internet cafes have private cubicles or small rooms for those wanting to communicate via IM/webcam, So many of these internet cafe's are quite sophisticated in there set-up. Many, i have noticed actually give lessons on internet use too.

Mike/David,  ...i'm not saying that most middle aged women know how to use a computer, i'm saying that it's much more than you would first think. From what i understand from Lucy, not too long ago the government was encouraging the over 40's to take up a government financed computer training programme, something like a re-training for the future scheme.

Greetings Brothers,

Well an interesting discussion to be sure.

The first lady I wrote to was typical.  No computer, email current or unshopped photos etc. So basically emf's or nothing.

Zhen on the other hand no computer no email no current photos or unshopped ones etc.  However as soon as I mentioned webcam she was all for it, went to the agency got it arranged and it happened.  When I went to see her in Sept. I knew what she looked like her mannerisms from the webcams etc.  Now she has an electronic translator, her son to help with the english, she has the computer and we webcam virtually every day for at least an hour.

I think the thing here is the level of trust they have with the person they are writing to.  As I mention so many times Zhen and I are a perfect fit and there has never been any doubt for either of us so these things happen for us naturally.  With the first lady she couldnt get past my divorce so nothing progressed as far as communication is concerned.

I think if they can learn to trust you then it will happen if they are not there yet it wont.  Simple as that .  Oh and Zhen will be 43 on Oct 17

Regards,

Zhen and Brian

I do not know the numbers, but I would guess that the number of acceptable profiles would go down from 7,500 to about 1,500 or even less, women in China just do not use computers ... and in my case I was only looking at women who were 35 or older, and I did not find ANY, in that age range (not yet) that can effectively use computers.

Maybe women under 25 use them more, but over 35 .... I do not see it at all...

I

Mike,
I know seven women in Wuhan, 35 and older, that have computers and use QQ frequently...also I now, know over 20 here in Changsha, 40 and older that use computers and QQ all the time!!! They have to pay agency for exchanging QQ info with man! If they are not very interested in man they will not pay...also I understand these women, like any others, anywhere are looking for a man close in age(within 10 years) and if the women are under 35 this is even more so!!! Suckers and very wealthy men can communicate, marry, eventually bring home, to find out later women was only after visa and/or money!!!! We can live in fantasy or reality...another choice!!!

Well I hope you make a list of them to share with some of the brothers here, because they sure would like to talk to Chinese women in this way, and not be stuck using only EMF's !! :icon_biggrin:

and I agree, about the 10 year range .... my lady is 11 years younger then me ... right on the edge of what I would take seriously ... but she is very comfortable with me, and with us as a couple.

enjoy your trip bro!!

Mike

Thanks Mike! I know two women that are available, this moment! They are 40 and 42 years of age...both have QQ...LOL...and I can provide pics of them...best part, no agency required...They look for men that are between the ages of 40 and 52...yeah third party communication...SUCKS...especially the greedy ones!!! These women are enjoyable to hangout with and are decent looking...I personally feel a man would be lucky to have them as a wife! And there is more, that my girlfriend knows!

Bigbutt

So are these 2 ladies CHNLove clients...???  If so, why didn't they find a guy through CHNLove. I will tell you why, at 40 and 42 years they wont attract many men from the West who are under 50 . These men can and do, get women much younger than that...and sucessfully too !!

Your generalisation about any woman who is more than 15 years younger than her man is only after money and/or visa is a bit of a crude illustration and does a disservice to genuine women who marry outside of this age difference.. There are hundreds of posts here about age difference (other threads)......but you seem to say it is an indelible, "carved in concrete rule"........

I dont agree with you

David E,
My experiences are very limited...I'm only talking about reality and fantasy...you will know much more than I , since you have been to China many times more than I. My girlfriend is 5 years younger than I...we can RELATE with each other...someone 15 years or more age difference is going to have a major problem with this!!! Also can have sexual issues too...these women are going to want to be sexually pleased...there again, reality and fantasy ISSUES!!! True they are NOT from the west and as they see many western films...one that is 15 years younger than BRAD PITT will be interested in him...is there a bunch of BRAD PITT'S here??? One can only figure this out...nothing I write here is set in stone...for there is many women in China...I'm just pointing out a reality check here! These two women are not on CHNLOVE!!!:icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin::icon_cheesygrin:

Hry Chet,
Yes...I'm having a GREAT time...as my girl and I can RELATE...LOL...hey bro...I forgot my camera connection to PC...so when I come home I will do the photo thing...also I'm using my girlfriend's PC on here since she only has phone modem access to the net and I don't want to figure this out since all the info is in Chinese...:s

Abigbutt, I think your bordering on insulting many here. Arnold's wife is 15 year younger, my lady is 17 years younger and so on. What money are they going to get? We're working men. If some rich guy picks a much younger girl as his mate he gets what he deserves. As for the sexually pleased? I sure hope she can keep up with me?

Sometimes it feels like the pitts or pits around here.  Wish I were in China today.

My wife is 16 years younger than I am.  Your generalizations are not based on anything but fantasy heresay.  She is also from Wuhan originally and is not going to fool around when I am gone which is also what you said about women from Wuhan.  This is twice you have said things you have no real knowledge of.  I would suggest you keep your sayings to things you really know about from personal experience.  From which I gather is very limited.

I think people like you really amaze ME !!!!

You are here, on the eve of your wedding, bragging about how you have kept everything secret because you want to avoid the fees charged by the Agency when your Lady gets married.

It matters not how they are involved (or not) in this marriage, what matters is that I assume your Lady signed a Contract, under Chinese Law to pay them certain monies at certain steps in her relationship with a foreign Man.

When the Agency discovers how you both have cheated them (and they will !!) your Lady (and her husband) will be pursued under Chinese Contract Law. Dont forget how "good" this will look when you finally get to apply for her to come to USA as your wife. A pending or spent prosecution under Chinese Law will look real great on the Police Clearance which you will have to provide.

Of equal importance, you are promoting the whole issue of fraud between western Men and CHNLove Agencies...you cheat them, they will cheat us...they get to expect it, if behavour such as this is the norm.

I understand that the fees charged at the time of marriage is about $1500....will you really put her and you into such a vulnerable situation for such a trifling amount of money ?? Do you really want to be yet another "smart" westerner who sets out to cheat them...because that does damage to ALL genuine western men.

It is a sad story you tell, on what should be a glad occaision,

DavidE
