David, in case you haven't figured it out yet I listen to everything, except hip hop/ rap and maybe Opera. Depends what mood I'm in. This should give you an idea. The last few bands I saw more recent was Mötley Crüe, ZZ Top with Ted Nugent, and the Vanilla Fudge. Also Billy Joel's band w/o Billy. I listen to anything. When hanging out around here most of the time I either have Classic Rock on or Jazz.
Oh yeah had to throw this thinky in here. My daughter was here a few weeks ago. She looked through the CD's and the only thing she said was she didn't like Marilyn Mason yeah that's right I like some of his songs. Beautiful People I think is a really good song. The video was also really good. They lost out on Best Video to I think Metallica? Right below that CD is Stevie Ray Vaughan and next to him is Meatloaf. So like I said everything.

Vince,

I could give you a list of artists as long as your arm, but i wouldn't be able to say i like every song they ever made. How about posting a track or two, of those that you do like, or that mean something to you. Many of the tracks I've posted here, can take my mind directly back to a time and place, and all the emotions that went with that time and place......

Posting a couple of tracks by ''Thin Lizzy'', I've seen these live a couple times, and enjoyed the nights and atmosphere they created. Chosen my favorite tracks, but they have plenty more here to offer. To my mind at that time, they were a great band, ....and still a pleasure to listen too!!

Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town

Thin Lizzy - Dancing in the Moonlight

Just sounds like a simple straight forward song like a lot of Chinese artist, she just took something simple in English, most of the Chinese artists songs I like are stright forward and simple. The songs she sings in Chinese are as simple, even the rock bands in China I got to listen to were rather grunge simple rock/metal, very easy progressions. Not say a dumbed down as Nirvana, but more along the lines Alice 'n Chains.

But I like the song all the same, it sounds a bit better in Chinese than it does in English.

I will agree she's not Jay Chou that guys completly intense.
Can't fix stupid.

Well, ..... now for some of the Jazz that i like. Ramsey Lewis, i discovered this guy while at University, and have played his stuff ever since, I like listening to good piano work.....I've chosen two of his better known works,'' Wade In The Water'' and ''In Crowd'' but again there's plenty more out there to listen too.....

Another band that i found during my Uni' years was ''America''. They did a gig at my University, and I've liked them ever since. I suppose you could call them a sort of hippy rock type band, Whatever you call them, .... there cool!! hahaha!! I've chosen a couple of tracks that are better known and one that's not quite so well known, ....I think there all worth a play, even if it's just an excuse to take you back to the early/middle 70's

America - Ventura Highway

America - I Need You

America - Lonely People

Maxx,

All a matter of opinion really, i like Horse with no name, but i wouldn't consider it there best song. In fact some of there lesser known songs i think are better than the well known ones. Just a shame that i can't find the ones i wanted to post on UTube.....Grrr!!   haha!!
